Selection of Music for the 2023 - 2024 Conventions
The MEFGOX Music Review Committee has been evaluating various musical settings of the Divine Liturgy to be considered for the 2023 and 2024 MEFGOX Conventions. There were two nominations for the music of Kevin Lawrence and the second arrangement of Presvytera Anna Gallos, although the committee also considered other works. Following their deliberations and evaluating many factors (see comparison chart here), the committee has recommended that Gallos II be sung for the next two conventions.
Samples of the music are posted below, both sheet music and choral recordings, so you can listen and review them at home at your leisure.
An online vote of the Federation Council (ONE vote per parish - please discuss with your choir) is being conducted to select the music for 2023-2024. Votes must be submitted by Monday, October 17, 2022. Please click the following link to submit your vote: https://forms.gle/GLQu7TbfjCnFYRTy8
